Why Choose Plasma CNC Cutting?

At our factory in Gloucester we have industrial spec CNC machinery for cutting and profiling steel. We use plasma in house as it is capable of cutting through thin and thick material, has good accuracy and is efficient. We also offer laser cutting where required for thinner materials where even greater accuracy is required. Laser cutting is more accurate on thinner materials but has higher running costs and is less efficient, resulting in higher costs. We can advise you on the best cutting method to match your requirement.

How CNC Plasma Cutting Works

The journey begins at the design stage. At this stage we review the type of steel and thickness required to suit the purpose and required finish. The next part in the design process is to draw the design using Conputer Aided Design (CAD) software. Once happy with the design we then run. The design through another program to prepare it for the CNC (Computer Nunerical Control) machinery.

The data is then sent to the machine computer and loaded ready for cutting. The material is loaded onto the machine and the cutting space is measured to ensure efficient use of material and reduce waste. Parts can be nested to further maximise cutting efficiency and material usage.

We offer different materials to suit you project. These include mild steel and stainless steel. If you require other metals such as aluminium to be cut please call us to discuss.
